If dogs back legs go out from hip dysplasia
If dogs back legs go out from hip dysplasia where can you buy a roller or wheels device – kind of like a built in wheelchair that is hooked to their hind end to allow mobility? I don’t know what the device is called or where you get it, but I know it exists.

I’ve seen those, but they are usually used in dog with paralysis, not hip dysplasia. They usually try to help severe hip dysplasia with surgery. I’ve seen ads for them in Dog Fancy magazine before.

Ask your vet. They would probably know where you can get them and what the costs are. I’ve heard of them, but have never seen them advertised for sale in my area. I have seen dogs in my area with them, but never thought to ask where to get them since at the time we didn’t have a dog.

id ask the vet to see if there is anything else they can do for the dog im sureif they had to be put in the roller thing the vet would help you out finding one or even provide you with one

They are called “dog mobility devices.” The business below makes great custom ones. However, I would consult with your vet first to see if this is the right option for your dog.

I actually have a pitbull that has this condition and my vet has told me that the only correction to hip dysplasia is surgeory. But when the dog is elderly he said a wheelchair may be an option, but he did not recommend this in a young dog at all…he said they need to adapt to this IF they have to live with it….the surgeory cost (at Tx A&M) around $2000. But I have searched and the dog wheelchair devices can be bought at dogwheelchairs.com. Good Luck!

The best dog wheelchair is the one from HandicappedPets.com
It’s adjustable so it fits any dog perfectly and really easy to use.
