Get your doggies unwavering obedience and adoration with these wonderful homemade dog treats. These helpful and easy to follow tips on how to make dog treats are sure to get you on the right path to pet owner superstardom.

Let’s begin. How about starting off with some savory treats? Are you having baked or roasted chicken anytime soon? The leftovers you will have are perfect little snacks for your furry friend. Shred the available chicken parts and season them lightly. Spread these pieces over a cookie sheet and bake them in 110C temperature until it browns. Allow the finished product to cool for a few minutes before giving them as snacks to canines.

You can also put a beef heart or liver in boiling water and allow it to simmer for about two hours. By then it should be thoroughly cooked and ready. Remove from water and slice the organ meat into bite sized treats. Put these in an air tight container and freeze until you need it. Ensure that it is completely defrosted before serving to the eager puppy lest he suffers from indigestion and an iced jaw.

If these are not available, hotdogs are acceptable and even appreciated doggie snacks. Cut the well cooked sausages or hot dogs in slivers and microwave them until they are hard. Have these on hand for ready noshes anytime of the day. Are you one of those owners who hold the treats between your teeth? Then savory, human friendly nibbles like these will be your best friend.

Dessert treats are also not that difficult to accomplish. Combine a small jar of applesauce with 2 Tbsp honey, 2 cups of water, 1 egg and a dash of vanilla. Set aside. In another bowl, mix 4 cups of flour, 1 Tbsp of baking powder and 1 Tbsp of nutmeg powder. Fold in the first mixture into the second bowl of dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly until you have yourself a smooth and creamy batter. Spoon out dollops of this batter on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour at 350F temperature. Be forewarned that humans and canines may fight each other for these luscious apple chews.

You can add or subtract ingredients but make sure to research first before you do. Certain foods that we eat are hazardous to canines like chocolates, grapes and most nuts. These homemade dog treats are easy to make but always exercise special care and consult with the vet before any significant change in their diets are made.

Learning how to make dog treats you can personally do speaks of a loving and thoughtful pet owner who wants nothing but the best for their dogs. Your canine is lucky to have you and with these treats ? you can be sure you have a well contented dog that will only be too happy to serve you.

Homemade dog treats are much more healthy for your dog than the store bought variety. And learning how to make dog treats is not as tricky as you may think.
