Your dog requires it in order to stay healthy. Proper exercise allows your pet to build its muscles. It also limits the joint’s irregular wear and tear. Simple exercises can help a lot. Walking and jogging during the mornings can drastically reduce your dog’s risk of acquiring hip dysplasia.

probably not. My dog was diagnosed when she was 2 and now she is 10. She has a hard time even walking a short distance. She is on 2 different medications though and does well on very short walks. She wants to walk farther but just can’t do it. It breaks my heart

I wouldn’t stress his joints like that if he doese, but slow walks would be great.

You shouldn’t jog any puppy under 12 months anyway, but if such a young pup is having symptoms, it should be x-rayed

You should take him to the vet now. Hope it is not hip dysplasia
If it is he will never be able to jog with you.

Regular exercise builds up the muscles to help support the hip joint. That works for a while but too much exercise can cause the hip to pain the dog. It is a thin line between too much and not enough. My std poodle was very active but when she overdid it she suffered.
