I just adopted a kitten but she is starting to sneeze. I know this can be a sign of kennel cough but I have two dogs in the house. Can a cat pass kennel cough on to dogs? This may be a dumb question but I’m just a little worried because one of the dogs is 15 and I don’t think she could handle getting sick.

    no—it is species specific.

No, only dogs get kennel cough. Cats can cough because they have upper respiratory infections or asthma, but it’s not the same disease.

    Nope…

If a cat is sneezing it could have allergies or an upper respiratory issue. Either case, you may want to have your vet check it out.

I doubt it. I think kennel cough is gotten from too many dogs together in close quarters and a kittens cold is passed from the mother cat!

Nope, it is only a canine problem
